About

Welcome! I’m Stephanie — Master Herbalist, Certified Holistic Nutritionist, HTMA practitioner, and longtime homeschool mom who believes deeply in the body’s, and the child’s, innate wisdom.

My journey into holistic health began long before I had official titles. As a teenager navigating my own health issues, I quickly learned how powerful natural remedies, nourishing foods, and a little intuition could be. That curiosity only grew stronger after I became a mother. Suddenly, healing wasn’t just personal, it was generational. It had purpose.

Since then, I’ve immersed myself in the art and science of herbalism, studying at The School of Natural Healing and carrying forward Dr. John Christopher’s vision of “an herbalist in every home and a master herbalist in every community.” His dream is woven into everything I do here.

But healing, for me, isn’t limited to the body.
It extends into how we live, how we parent, and how we educate our children.

Alongside my holistic practice, I also run Wild & Rooted Homeschool, where I share our family’s approach to whole-child, intuitive, real-life learning. After more than two decades of homeschooling, I’ve learned that children—just like adults—thrive when they’re supported, not pressured… guided, not controlled… and allowed to grow in the rhythm that fits them.

Holistic health and homeschooling are not two separate worlds in my life—they’re the same heartbeat. Both honor the idea that healing and learning happen best when we trust the process, follow the natural cues, and give ourselves permission to slow down.

Here at Nature’s Roots & Remedies, you’ll find a mix of:

  • down-to-earth herbal wisdom
  • root-cause healing and nutritional guidance
  • real conversations about motherhood and intuition
  • whole-child, lifestyle-based homeschooling support
  • and the gentle encouragement to trust your own inner knowing

No hype. No perfection. Just the practical, grounded wisdom I’ve gathered over the years—shared with the hope that it supports you, your health, and your home.

When I’m not working with clients or writing, life is pretty simple: raising kids, keeping a home running, handling whatever the day throws at me, and trying to create a life that feels peaceful and grounded—even on the messy days. Homeschooling and holistic living are just woven into the rhythm of our everyday life.

Thank you for being here. I hope this space brings you inspiration, clarity, and maybe even a few brave steps toward a more rooted, balanced, and wholehearted way of living—whether you’re healing your body, homeschooling your children, or both.

Here’s to trusting nature, trusting ourselves, and raising healthy, curious humans along the way.
